In a corner of the province of Malaga, in Casares, there is hole that bears witness to extraordinary bets. It is a par 5, 472 meters from the yellow tee markers, with a narrow fairway, water and an out of bounds - the indisputable star of this 9-hole golf course.
The objective of the course is to entertain, and it entertains. Its 9 holes are spread out with a varied design over the flat terrain of a valley and stand out for their fairways, on which precision is one of the keys to a good game.
With three par-3 holes and one par 5, the course offers golfers the possibility of playing all sorts of shots. The course, with par 68, is not a long one, measuring a total of 4,476 metres from the yellow tee markers. The par 5 hole is the longest, with 472 metres, whereas the 4th hole is the shortest: just 100 metres from an elevated tee, but with a pond in front and in back of the green.

The 6th hole is also a par 3 that measures 142 metres, with water to the left and three bunkers in front of a green that has a lot of movement. The other par 3 is Hole 1, intimidating for players beginning a round of golf. It measures 147 metres; there is a pond in front of the green, which is also protected by two deep bunkers. The pressure of being in front of the Club House terrace can play a dirty trick on even the best of players!
Of the par 4’s, holes 2 and 3 are the most appealing for driver shots, which can be played firmly, without any concerns, because the fairways are wide.

Hole 5 is one of the most interesting of the course. It measures 268 metres, and players can try reaching the green with a good tee shot. But they have to be careful, because there is an out of bounds on the right, and the fairway has a slight dogleg on that side. On the left, the fairway follows the edge of a stream, turning the hole into a source of balls. In case the tee shot doesn’t reach the green, the second shot is a very attractive approach.

The prettiest hole of the course, and one of the prettiest of the Costa del Sol, is the 8th, as acknowledged by the majority of the Club’s members. This may be due to the fact that it is a hole for recovery: it measures 298 metres, is completely straight and the green is surrounded by vegetation.

Hole 9, 264 metres uphill with a dogleg to the left, also enables players to recover. It may make the brave ones very good because they will try to reach the green with their tee shot.
These 9 holes allow players to enjoy a game with family and friends consisting of a wide variety of shots and a major challenge: to reach the Club House with a good score on the 7th hole. Then they can relax in the bar, or out on the terrace, and plan their strategy for the next day’s game.
